Twitaceous Era 22: Electric Boogaloo

This week on my Twitter feed: Strallens, sequels and Scissor Sisters.

Caved and got a standing ticket to see Celia Imrie do cabaret next week, because of course I did.

I may have enjoyed this for reasons other than the Buzzfeed parody: http://www.clickhole.com/article/10-chris-pratt-gifs-will-make-you-say-yup-here-per-680 … via @clickhole

Why yes, I *have* continued to amuse myself since last night by thinking of new Strallen names. It's hard to come up with an implausible one.
5:23 PM - 6 Aug 2014

Tufty Strallen? PLAUSIBLE. Imhotep Strallen? PLAUSIBLE. Zuul Strallen? COMPLETELY PLAUSIBLE.
5:24 PM - 6 Aug 2014

@michael456789 some days my favourite as-yet-unborn Strallen is Flopsy, other days it's Biggles. So hard to choose!

Whoever you are, I have always relied on the kindness of aliens #thestreetcarisoutthere

@merrychrissmyth writing my review now, and finding it as impossible as ever not to drop in a Streetcar Named Marge reference.
10:40 AM - 8 Aug 2014

@merrychrissmyth I'LL TWIST THIS BOTTLE IN YOUR FACE! Which happens to be precisely the moment I most wanted them to break into song.
10:44 AM - 8 Aug 2014

Best thing about the trendiness of the flat white: Starbucks now has a cup size smaller than a gallon.
7:16 PM - 8 Aug 2014

Well there's been what a couple of fellow bloggers call "boykissing" but so far the clothes have stayed on. #intervaltweets
8:40 PM - 8 Aug 2014

@merseytart to be fair there *is* no better subtitle than Electric Boogaloo. I mentally subtitle all sequels with it.
10:05 PM - 8 Aug 2014

@merseytart The Godfather Part 2: Electric Boogaloo.
10:08 PM - 8 Aug 2014

Cornish pasties with the handle on the top are so awkward to eat. I'm firmly Team Handle On The Side.
7:17 PM - 9 Aug 2014

@stevenperkins if I need to open my mouth that wide to get something in it, it should at least buy me a drink first.

@stevenperkins the whole shape of the pasty is different. Handle-on-top ones are caverns with all the filling hiding in the middle.
7:23 PM - 9 Aug 2014

My phone tried to correct "hiding" to "nudity." Almost as if I use that word a lot or something.
7:25 PM - 9 Aug 2014

@nick00031 "n" pretty much goes straight to nudity.
9:03 PM - 9 Aug 2014

In the Gentlemen's Rooms at the Globe for the first time. View's not bad, but I've not been provided with a gentleman :( #intervaltweets

Thorburn! Looking very fresh-faced! Calum Callaghan and Brian Ferguson have turned up as well. #OurWorldWar

That production's touring to San Luis Obispo, so obviously now I have Scissor Sisters stuck in my head.

I liked the James II poster as it was, but I see it's been subtly improved. pic.twitter.com/HOt4BVJgl1

@OughtToBeClowns they seem to be almost sold out so I guess they're just doing it as a Brucie bonus.

@RobbieHand @emslj He won't just be throwing paper - he'll also be stepping on it while sitting back contemptuously. pic.twitter.com/s7XCLGauzT
