Dick Twittington 6: A dozen middle-aged belly dancers

This week on my Twitter feed, I see a play that makes me a bit paranoid about my choice of seat on the bus, while Stratford-upon-Avon celebrates Shakespeare's birthday creatively.

I hadn't seen the RSC As You Like It trailer. Definitely a hippie festival vibe then. Could be interesting. http://youtu.be/qpEqv7DAPV4

The NT shop's selling Curious Incident T-shirts that say "I find people confusing." Can't say I'm not tempted.

So I guess the Royal Court's new artistic policy is "chuck everything you can think of at the stage and see what sticks?" Like Soho then.
11:33 AM - 19 Apr 13

Seriously, I don't think I can even figure out what I want to/am able to see without the use of spreadsheets.
11:34 AM - 19 Apr 13

Oh, I'm in Stratford for the Shakespeare parade again. Samba dancers! Just like in Cymbeline.
11:38 AM - 20 Apr 13

A samba band, kids from a Tai Chi class, a dozen middle-aged belly dancers. That's the ENTIRE parade. Bless you for trying, Warwickshire.
11:46 AM - 20 Apr 13

Deceased Werewolf Spot: Sinead Keenan 'aving a fag by the Swan.

Oh good, they haven't removed the Insult Chair, they've just moved it.
1:02 PM - 20 Apr 13

Why do I always end up sitting next to someone sniffing like a drugs dog?
5:58 PM - 20 Apr 13

Yes, if you need something cooler than Kenny Loggins, you should go for Phil Collins. Obviously. #thevoice

I have a spare £18 ticket for Rooms at the Finborough this Friday 26/4 to the first person who wants it: http://finboroughtheatre.co.uk/productions/2013/rooms.php
1:11 PM - 22 Apr 13

You should come see it with me because Cassidy Janson was the second best Kate Monster, and Alexis Gerred might get his nipples out again.
1:13 PM - 22 Apr 13

@pcchan1981 I'll concede this may not be your personal idea of an endorsement, but I dunno, maybe it's filth and CJ will get hers out too?

@Elsiebrewster @Weez Wicker Man and zombie Tennant theories could still happen as well *fingers crossed*
9:24 PM - 22 Apr 13

OK, I'm choosing to believe these scenes are out of sequence and Tennant's in that pyre.
10:00 PM - 22 Apr 13

Broadchurch... will return... the audience... may not...

@Weez I've got 2 nationalities and St George is patron of both. Truly the Swiss Army Knife of saints.
9:06 AM - 23 Apr 13

Er... I can only assume they're trying to make the original series' performances look understated in comparison http://youtu.be/nFls6CMcrEI
